peaceful military coup

In face of a military coup in Thailand, it seems trivial to write about mountain bikes (like I was going to), but all I can do is refer you to the NYTimes article today. (You may need to be a subscriber to access the article, but a limited-access subscription is free; I get the headlines in my email everyday.) Sue called last night to say she was alright,but apparently there really are tanks rumbling down the streets and foreigners are advised not to go to work. The scariest part was when she said her TV screen went black. Yikes, communication cut.
