The Rules

  3. License is valid for 90 days. Ceremony must take place within 90 days of purchase.
  4. Minimum age requirement is 18 years.
  5. Valid photo I.D. required. (Drivers license, State issued I.D., passport, etc.)

  8. All persons who are members of a religious society or denomination not having clergy for the purpose of solemnizing marriages, must let the clerk know they need a VS 115 form. (Family Code, Section 425).

The hardest part will be the application being made in person. How on earth are two working adults supposed to get to a county office 1 1/2 hours away between 8 – 4:30 Monday to Friday?!

Oh yeah – and it costs $73.

A confidential one costs $75 – two bucks extra for them to keep a secret?
